The Wairau Māori Art Gallery will be the world’s first curated gallery dedicated to contemporary Māori fine art and the most exciting project for the permanent promotion of indigenous art in the history of Aotearoa.

Te Kakano – the Seed

Te Kakano is a stand along sculpture in the shape of a koru. It was opened to great fanfare in October 2016.
