These two lithographic prints are taken from recent work by top NZ artist Emily Karaka.  Emily is Toi Iho registered which is māoridom’s official recognition of authenticity and quality in art.

The original paintings entitled ‘He Kakano Ahau’ and ‘Lament’ are very vivid and textured works on a large scale. They detail the lyrics of māori songs or waiata.  Lament is a requiem for Nuku, tribal leader of Emily’s iwi, Ngai Tai.  He Kakano Ahau is a traditional māori folk song.

The prints are standard A2 and also available in A5 postcard size.
